Hidden in plain sight on the chest of this shirt is a message written in the Adinkra alphabet — a 3,000 year old West African visual language that most people will never recognise.

The symbol at the centre of this design is DENKYEM — the crocodile. In Adinkra culture the crocodile represents adaptability and the power of unity. Though it lives in water it breathes air — a creature that exists between two worlds and thrives in both. Four crocodiles, one centre. Separate but bound. The encoded text beneath the design translates to one thing: Unity is our greatest adaptation.
